Ritsu and I have fond memories of New Orleans. I believe we were there twice, once around a wedding (8/2002) and the second time on our ‘we are leaving the US for good’ road trip (10/2002). Both times we have enjoyed the food there tremendously (especially at K-Paul’s.)
So, it was with much excitement that our neighborhood eatery Daluva announced they are doing a NOLA food special week.
I had the Muffuletta, which is a sandwich with multiple layers of different cold cuts, topped with pickled veggies and olives, while Ritsu had the chicken & sausage Gumbo. Julius had his classic pork ribs, which are also a very Southern staple.
Food was all around delicious! And I am already craving that sandwich again.
